The Las Ventas Bullring can fit 24000 people. Inside the the bullring.

The Las Ventas Bullring is the most important bullring in the world. The Las Ventas Bullring was built in 1929 in Las Ventas del Espíritu Santo. It is the largest bullring in Spain. It is also known as the Chair of Winds, because it is located in one of the windiest parts of Madrid. The Las Ventas bullring used to be smaller, but it was expanded. The new construction started in 1922. José Espeliu was the architect that designed it. The construction took seven years.

On June 17th, 1931, the first celebration for the finished construction of the new bullring was held. The Las Ventas Bullring became an artistic historical heritage in 1994. There are 600 bullrings in Spain. In all, 534 matadors have died fighting bulls. In each fight, three matadors fight six bulls. Bullfights are held in May and June. Our trip to Spain has been very educational. Adios!
